Marco Giordano, Asnatureintended
30 sept – 5 nov / fri 7pm -9pm
Marco Giordano (Turin, 1988) lives and works in Glasgow. For his first exhibition at Frutta he is presenting a new body of work. An outdoor red pvc curtain introduces the viewer and filters the indoor show into an unsettling environment. The show analyses the friction between natural and artificial. Using hundreds of silicone tubes hanging activated by the visitor’s movements into a jel- ly dance while filtering the rest of the installation made out of ceramics heads from which weeds come out and shinny reflective paintings, made of sand, acrylic jesmonite and lenticular prints, Giordano creates an atmosphere of simultaneous harmony and clash.
