After studying at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, Becheri made his debut in 2005 with an “expanded” vision of drawing, used as a device to question authority, time and the very notion of traces. Starting with the essential elements of this expressive medium, such as the contrast between light and shade, Becheri went on to expand his research to all kinds of media, from film to photography, involving external executors or random contextual factors in the creation of his works. Since 2010 he has experimented with certain self-generating drawing techniques and with sound performances, under the shared title Impression, conveying their immediate adhesion to contingent and phenomenal aspects. His most important solo shows include exhibitions at the Museo Marino Marini in Florence (2009), the MAN in Nuoro (2010), the Galerija Gregor Podnar in Berlin (2010), the Elastic Gallery in Malmö (2013), the Roman Road in Brussels (2014) and the Rita Urso Artopia Gallery in Milan (2015). In 2010 he won the Gaswork Residency in London, while in 2016 he became the artist in residence on the Isola Comacina supported by the Accademia di Brera in Milan.
